Where funding actually comes from in 2026.
Utility make-ready programs
Usually the largest single offset available, and the most commonly missed. Many utilities cover service upgrades, transformers and trenching to the meter — but only if you apply before you build. This is why our permitting step files make-ready applications ahead of construction, every time. Program availability and scope vary by utility territory; we confirm yours at survey.
State & regional programs
Nevada, Arizona, California and Utah all run separate infrastructure and fleet programs with their own windows and their own paperwork. Windows open and close; the design that qualifies in one state may not in the next. We track the programs relevant to your footprint and build the application evidence into the project documentation.
Corridor & freight funding
Federal corridor and freight-charging programs continue to fund qualifying highway and truck-route locations. Eligibility is geographic and specific — a parcel a mile off the designated corridor can be out while its neighbor is in. We check your parcel, not your county.
Rate & demand-charge design
Often worth more over ten years than any grant. Storage, load management and the right rate schedule can change site operating cost by a wide margin — a battery-buffered site on the right tariff can out-earn a grant-funded site on the wrong one. This is a design decision, not a billing decision, which is why it happens in step 02, not after energization.
Note on the federal 30C credit: the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit applied to qualifying property placed in service through June 30, 2026, and has now expired. Any proposal still quoting it is out of date. We build funding assumptions from programs that are live at the time of your survey, and we put them in writing.
